Specialized Shiv Tri: RSTRI RC Cockpit Upgrade
A complete front-end solution built around the RSTRI RC carbon aerobar and a custom RSTRI angled riser, configured around the rider’s individual Stack, Reach and aerobar angle to balance aerodynamics, support and a clean cockpit layout.
BUILD OVERVIEW
A real-world Specialized Shiv Tri setup from an RSTRI rider in Germany
This Specialized Shiv Tri cockpit is built around the RSTRI RC carbon aerobar, connected to the original front end through a custom RSTRI angled riser.
The riser is more than an installation adapter. It forms part of the rider-specific cockpit geometry. Based on Bike Fit data and individual requirements, RSTRI can configure the front-end Stack, Reach and aerobar angle to create the intended arm support, hand position, visibility and control.
Together with the repositioned armrests and computer mount, the system creates a clean, integrated cockpit designed to maintain stable support and an efficient aerodynamic position over long-distance riding.

01 / CHALLENGE
The Shiv Tri cockpit must accommodate arm support, aerobar position, a bike computer and cable routing within a limited front-end space. For a rider with defined Bike Fit targets, replacing the aerobar alone is not enough: the new cockpit must accurately reproduce the required Stack, Reach and aerobar angle while maintaining structural stability, control and clean integration.
02 / SOLUTION
The RSTRI RC carbon aerobar forms the core of the cockpit, while a custom RSTRI angled riser provides the interface to the original Shiv front end.
The riser can be configured around the rider’s target Stack, Reach and aerobar angle, translating individual fit requirements into the physical cockpit structure. Combined with optimized armrest and computer positioning, the result is not simply a compatible installation, but a complete rider-specific cockpit solution.

COMPATIBILITY
Front-end interfaces may vary between Specialized Shiv Tri generations and model years. Confirm the exact bike version, original cockpit interface and required mounting hardware before installation.
The RSTRI custom angled riser must be matched to both the specific bike interface and the rider’s target cockpit geometry. For custom configurations, accurate bike information and relevant Bike Fit data should be provided during design confirmation.
INSTALLATION
Confirm the frame version, mounting interface, armrest Stack and Reach, aerobar angle, computer position and cable-routing clearance before installation.
The cockpit is a safety-critical load-bearing area. Use the correct hardware and specified torque values. Custom components must be installed according to the confirmed configuration and receive a final inspection by a qualified mechanic.
