The disc-brake Trek Speed Concept SLR uses an integrated original cockpit. Its fixed mounting positions may not place the hands and arm supports where a particular rider's bike-fit targets require.

RSTRI's published case features an angled riser for the original Speed Concept SLR aerobar. The article describes custom angle and extended-reach options and shows one example with a 16° angle, 65 mm forward extension and 65 mm rise. These are the illustrated build's figures, not standard specifications or guaranteed settings for every rider.

01 / CHALLENGE

The proprietary original interface and fixed mounting positions may limit the angle, forward reach and hand-support position needed by an individual rider. Adding height alone does not necessarily establish the desired hand angle.

02 / SOLUTION

Use the RSTRI Trek Speed Concept angled riser between the original front end and upper aerobar support. Specify the angle, forward position and rise against actual bike-fit data.

The source also discusses fine adjustment with original angle spacers. Any stacked arrangement requires separate checks of the interface, fasteners, structural requirements and clearance; the example cannot be copied without verification.

COMPATIBILITY

This case concerns the original aerobar front end of the Trek Speed Concept SLR Disc. It does not establish the same configuration for the TT Disc or another bike.
