Trek Speed Concept SLR Disc × RSTRI RC

An Adjustable Aero Cockpit Built Around Rider Fit

BUILD OVERVIEW

Arm support and hand position at the centre of the build.

The Trek Speed Concept SLR Disc brings a highly integrated approach to its front end. Within that design, forearm support, hand placement and the distance between them shape the rider’s cockpit experience.

This build pairs the RSTRI RC one-piece carbon aerobar with an adjustable dual-pillar mounting arrangement, leaving room to refine height, fore-aft position and angle.

Dual-Pillar to Mono-Riser

Custom Geometry Available

Fore-aft offset, stack and interface geometry can be configured around the rider’s Bike Fit and original cockpit structure.

Custom development is subject to structural and compatibility evaluation; not every dual-pillar front end can be converted.

01 / CHALLENGE

The right support and grip geometry is individual. From the initial fitting to time on the road, feedback on forearm support, reach and wrist angle helps refine the position.

The mounting arrangement preserves room for those changes, allowing the setup to develop with the rider. The available adjustment range depends on the mounting configuration.

02 / SOLUTION

The RSTRI RC integrates forearm support and the forward grip sections into a continuous carbon structure. It is a complete one-piece aerobar, paired with a bicycle-side interface selected for the mounting points and target geometry.

For fit requirements beyond standard mounting options, a custom metal 3D-printed TC4 titanium riser can be assessed for the required stack, fore-aft offset, angle and interface. The photographed build uses an adjustable dual-pillar arrangement; the custom TC4 riser is a separate option.

COMPATIBILITY

Fitment assessment considers the bike year, existing mounting interface, target pad stack and reach, tilt angle, and clearance for bottles, computers and other accessories. Custom interfaces require fitment and structural assessment, with professional installation following the relevant component instructions.

INSTALLATION

The cockpit also needs to accommodate later adjustments and maintenance. This build’s connection arrangement allows the complete aerobar to be removed, supporting fitting changes, routine servicing and preparation for transport.
