Cube Aerium C:68X × RSTRI RC Aero Cockpit Conversion

A custom base connects the bike's dual-pillar interface to the RSTRI RC mono-riser, with reach set around the rider's Bike Fit.

BUILD OVERVIEW

A fit-led cockpit case combining dual-pillar conversion, custom reach, full-carbon RC forearm support and twin-bottle hydration.

A custom conversion base transforms the original Cube Aerium C:68X dual-pillar cockpit into the RSTRI RC mono-riser platform, integrating the RC full-carbon aerobar and a dual-BTA hydration configuration into the front end. The original Base Bar and brake controls are retained.

Reach can be customized around the rider's Bike Fit and target position, allowing the mounting position, forearm support and hand position to be designed as one cockpit system.

01 / CHALLENGE

From Dual-Pillar to RC Mono-Riser
The original Cube Aerium C:68X uses a dual-pillar cockpit architecture, while the RSTRI RC is based on a mono-riser platform. Integrating the two systems requires more than an interface conversion: Reach, forearm support and the rider's target position must also be considered.

The objective is therefore not simply to add an adapter, but to establish a new structural and positional interface between the original cockpit and the RC system.

02 / SOLUTION

Dual-Pillar to Mono-Riser
A dedicated conversion base provides the interface between the original cockpit and the RC platform.

Reach Customized Around Bike Fit
The fore-aft position of the conversion base can be defined around the rider's Bike Fit and target position, making custom Reach an integral part of the conversion architecture.

+90 mm Custom Forward Offset
The custom conversion base used in this setup provides an additional +90 mm forward offset, moving the mounting position of the complete RSTRI RC mono-riser system further forward.

Rather than simply extending the end of the aerobar, the conversion base redefines the longitudinal mounting position of the entire RC cockpit. This allows the forearm support, mono-riser system and hand position to move forward together according to the rider's Bike Fit requirements.

Even when the position of the original dual-pillar interface is fixed, the custom conversion base can provide additional reach flexibility. The +90 mm offset shown here is the specific implementation used for this bike.

Integrated Cockpit and Hydration
The full-carbon RC aerobar provides continuous forearm support while retaining the original Base Bar and brake controls and integrating two BTA bottles along the bike's centerline.
